About Stillwater's Community Connection
Stillwater's Community Connection was launched by Sherry Roden when she realized there was a need for a comprehensive event calendar for Stillwater residents. The calendar started out as a printed piece, but as Facebook became popular Sherry launched a website so that it would be easy to share. As Facebook grew, so did the following. Stillwater's Community Connection also developed into a way for local businesses to market their products and events.
Today Stillwater's Community Connection continues to provide residents with the most comprehensive monthly calendar of events, as well as information on seasonal promotions and specials. Our services for small businesses have expanded to include graphic design, advertising, and social media campaigns. We love living and working in Stillwater and serving this great and exciting community!
Meet the Owner
Avery Kinzie is a life-long resident of Stillwater whose passions are graphic design, social media, embracing new technology, and the desire to work closely with small businesses. She is a proud alumna of Oklahoma State University, where she majored in agricultural communications. While at OSU, Avery designed and coordinated advertising to create the FFA Foundation Calendar, and served as an editor for the OSU Cowboy Journal publication. Since graduation, Avery has worked with small businesses designing social media advertising, flyers, newsletters, gift guides, and maintaining websites. Avery is excited to continue the success of Stillwater’s Community Connection, and strives to give her best in personalized service and to capture the uniqueness of each individual business.
