Kids Helping Kids 6th Annual Art Poster Contest
The Payne County Court Appointed Special Advocate program (CASA) is holding a Kids Helping Kids Art Contest in honor of April-Child Abuse Month. The theme for the contest is “My Wish for Abused & Neglected Children.” The contest is open to children in Kindergarten through 12th grades. (Pre-K students may enter but will be judged in the K-2nd age group)
CASA is inviting all schools and parents in Payne County to encourage their students to participate by asking children to draw colorful pictures on 8.5 x 11 paper. Entries should reflect each child’s wish for abused and neglected children.
Talented kids will be honored for the heartfelt art work they draw to help abused and neglected children. Great way for kids to help kids!
CASA is requesting that the children who wish to participate be allowed to display their posters in the school hallway by noon on April 20 OR bring their posters to the CASA office by 1pm on April 20. Casa office located at 315 W 6th, Suite 205.
CASA representatives will judge the artwork on April 20th.
Posters chosen for the semi finals will be removed from the school hallway. All semi finalists and office entries become property of Payne County CASA. Poster contest winners will be announced the following week and schools and/or parents will be notified of contest winners.
The winning art may be used as appreciation awards for CASA program supporters and other CASA media. The pictures from this contest may be used for items such as cards, a calendar, t-shirts and other items that may be sold to raise money to help provide advocates for abused and neglected children.

What is Casa?
The Court Appointed Special Advocate program trains volunteers to be Child Advocates for children who have been removed from their homes because they have been abused or neglected. CASA volunteers help children by telling the Judge what is best for the child.
