Traditions: Many factors contribute to the “college experience” – not the least of which is gaining a feeling of belonging and a sense of loyalty to the school, it’s faculty and staff, the community that embraces the university, and the athletic teams that compete to garner conference and national honors.
Wearing school colors and displaying emblems of the university are life-long symbols of allegiance. For Oklahoma State, Orange Peel and Homecoming are yearly celebrations that bring much activity and excitement. “Free game day parking Downtown aims to benefit Downtown Stillwater, Oklahoma State Athletics and the community by providing free parking and shuttle service to every OSU home football game. By providing this service Downtown Stillwater promotes the development of tourism and community awareness by expanding Downtown Stillwater’s reputation as a destination place for providing free services and events attracting a broad base of participation. Economic development is encouraged by promoting local businesses during the service. This service also encourages the continued partnership between Downtown Stillwater, Oklahoma State Athletics and the City of Stillwater” ~ Game Day Parking Committee
WHEN: September through December, from 2 hours prior to kickoff, 3 hours after game, shuttle runs every 15-20 minutes
WHERE: Shuttle stops at Downtown Stillwater on 7th between Main & Lewis. Free parking lots are located at 7th and Lewis, 8th and Husband, Lewis and 10th.
FREE ADMISSION & PARKING: 1500 riders are anticipated to utilize the service
